About Teri

I am 37 but do not feel it! I still feel about 19! I think being Single and with no kids keeps me young, although I am looking forward to the day when I have my own home again with a family to look after! Check out my blog Rainbow Days for my dreams and the things that make me happy or sad or just my general natterings!

My family will include my 5 year old Border Collie, Dulcie, who is the light of my life, when she's good! Check out her antics in my accompanying blog, Dulcie Days. She was a gift from God especially for me and has been the perfect companion while I am poorly her energy levels match mine and she is not too demanding for what is a very active breed!

I love most types of music. I sing and play the flute, guitar, recorder and tambourine (don’t laugh! You did! didn’t you?!) I want to learn to play them all better and maybe learn the piano too! I have played and sung in Worship bands and look forward to when I’m well enough to do so again! I have a dream of me and my husband having a full time music ministry! Initially I dreamed of us travelling from place to place but fear that might not be so compatible with the family plans! But hey a girl must dream! Who knows what the future holds!

Using my creative skills which include Jewellery Making, Lace Making, Crochet, Cross Stitch, Card Making, Photography and Machine Sewing I am trying to get a business off the ground. Please Check out my website Rainbow Cottage and it’s accompanying Rainbow Cottage blog for information of the various online shops where I am selling my products! Currently Jewellery and Crochet items but hoping to add more as I go! At present it is a slow process as it is a way to sell items I make for therapeutic benefit!

I have mentioned a couple of times now some health issues! I have ME/CFS and Depression. I initially started this blog as an outlet for how I am and then also as a way to maybe help others in similar situations so you will find this blog covers how I deal with those issues. However I am now trying to change how I view things and am trying to adopt a more positive outlook on life so expect to see this reflected in my blog!

Since having ME means resting lots this gives me time to relax in front of the tv and catch up with favourite programmes which include things like crime dramas and any documentary that is about houses (they encourage the dreams) especially Extreme Makeover: Home Edition! This is a great programme that gives deserving families in dire conditions the house of their dreams! I am always inspired by the selflessness of so many of these people helping others despite their own problems! They make me want to be a better person! I also get time to watch my favourite dvd’s a lot of which are costume dramas and adaptations of Classic books such as Jane Austen and Charles Dickens! I love romantic comedy and musicals too! Due to concentration problems from having ME I can’t read as much as I would like but enjoy it none-the-less when I can!

The other issue you will find in this blog which is one of the biggest issues in my life is the fact I am still single! This is something else that has caused me a lot of distress! As some women dream of big things like becoming a doctor or a lawyer all I have ever dreamed about is having a family so to find myself 37 without even a boyfriend has been rather upsetting! But again I am trying to look at it differently and more positively! So again look out the for the positive changes!

I would love to hear from anyone who reads my blog so if something you read touches you do tell me or just say ‘Hi’ so I know you dropped by!
